Wuthering Waves supports crossplay between PC and mobile devices, allowing for a seamless gaming experience where you can play with friends regardless of the platform they're on, as long as you're all on the same server. This feature enhances the game's social aspect, making it easier to form teams for tougher challenges or just to explore together. Remember, server selection is crucial for crossplay, so coordinate with your gaming circle before starting your adventure.
What is Crossplay?
Crossplay or cross-platform play allows players from different gaming platforms to play together in the same game session. Here's how it works in Wuthering Waves:
Supported Platforms for Crossplay
•PC (Windows via Epic Games Store)
•Mobile (iOS and Android)
How to Enable Crossplay
1.Account Creation: Use the same Kuro ID or link your existing account across platforms to ensure your progress is saved and accessible on any device. This is key for crossplay since your game data is tied to your account.
2.Server Selection: Ensure you select the same server on all platforms. Wuthering Waves does not support crossplay between different servers. If you're playing with friends, make sure everyone is on the same server, whether it's Europe, North America, Asia, or any other available server.
3.Adding Friends: Find your friend's Unique ID (also known as UID) in the game. This can typically be found in the main menu under your character's name.
4.Add them to your friends list. You can then invite them to your world or join theirs for co-op play.
Playing Co-op
•Union Level Requirement: You need to reach Union Level 22 to unlock the co-op feature. This is similar to the Adventure Rank system in other gacha games.
•Invite Friends or Join Others: Go to your friends list, select a friend, and either send an invite to join your world or request to join theirs. You can also join random players' worlds if you don't have friends online.
Limitations and Tips
•Server Limitation: As mentioned, crossplay only works within the same server. Changing servers means starting over unless you switch back to your original server.
•Progress Sync: While moving between devices, ensure you're on the correct server where your progress is saved. If you mistakenly start a new game on a different server, you'll start from scratch.
•Crossplay with Consoles: Currently, crossplay is not confirmed for the upcoming PS5 version, or any other console version if they are released. This might change, but at the moment, crossplay is limited to PC and mobile.
Although not yet available, there's a possibility that future updates could include crossplay for PlayStation platforms once they are released, following the trend seen in similar games. |
